Colombia – Salesian communities in the Province of Bogotá begin their 2026-2028 pastoral journey with the ‘Harvest Festival’
(ANS – Bogotá) – Last week, several Salesian communities in Colombia celebrated the traditional ‘Harvest Festival’, an educational and pastoral event that marked the official launch of the 2026-2028 programme entitled ‘Come, live, discover: a journey with Christ’. This year marks the beginning of the first phase of the programme, with the theme ‘Come: a journey with Christ’, which invites children, adolescents and young adults to begin a journey of personal encounter with Jesus and renewal of their life plans. The ‘Harvest Festival’ is a significant moment in Salesian tradition, as it symbolises the sowing of values, dreams, commitments and responsibilities that will guide the school year. Through community celebrations, symbolic signs and formation spaces, students, educators and families reaffirmed their commitment to an education that integrates faith, culture and life. With this launch, Salesian communities are planning a three-year pastoral period focused on attentive accompaniment, vocational discernment and the integral growth of young people, consolidating their mission to offer educational processes that form leaders committed to society and rooted in the Gospel.
