(ANS – Victorias) – On 26 February 2026, the formation course for Leaders and Animators was held at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Victorias. The first session was led by Kuya Daryl, who introduced participants to the life and witness of St Charles Acutis. Through his example, participants were reminded that holiness is possible even in the digital age and that their online presence can become a powerful channel of evangelisation. Participants were then divided into groups based on different digital platforms and given the task of creating their own Digital Missionary Commitment. The second session was facilitated by Fr Vince Michael Sabal, SDB, who spoke about the Jubilee Year of Hope. Through an interactive activity, participants reflected on their motivations for service, realising that leadership is a call from God rather than a quest for recognition. Ate Mayve led the final session, where she discussed the ‘Attitudes, Competencies and Knowledge of a Salesian Youth Animator.’ She emphasised that true leadership is rooted in spirituality, compassion, responsibility and service, and explained practical ways to live out these qualities in ministry.
