Brazil – Over One Hundred Young People Participate in the 5th Salesian Youth Meeting of Niterói
(ANS – Niterói) – Last Saturday, February 28, the fifth edition of the Salesian Youth Meeting of the Salesian presence in Niterói-RJ took place. More than one hundred young people participated in the event, coming from various missionary environments, including the Salesian Schools of Santa Rosa and Região Oceânica, the Youth Center, the Oratory, the Parish of Our Lady Help of Christians, and other groups of the Salesian Family. The meeting marked the beginning of the educational and pastoral activities for the 2026 school year, led by the Salesian Youth Movement, which will be involved in various projects and pastoral initiatives promoting youth leadership, solidarity, and integration among young people. The event began with the Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Fr Márcio Marçal, Institutional Director, and concelebrated by Fr Gutielles dos Reis, Pastoral Director, in the Basilica. Afterwards, the young people moved to the courtyard of the Salesian Santa Rosa School for a program that combined spirituality, sports activities, fraternity, and sharing—distinctive elements of Salesian pedagogy.
