(ANS – São Carlos) – At the Salesian presence in São Carlos, a formation meeting for aspirants and prenovices in formation was held on 5 and 6 March 2026, promoted by the Commission for Social Action and Economer’s office in the São Paulo Brazil Province (BSP). The meeting, attended by four prenovices and two aspirants, aimed to present the work of the Salesian Network and to help young people in formation to develop a pastoral heart focused on young people, especially the most vulnerable. The event included a lecture by Fr André Luiz Simões, Provincial Economer, on the theme ‘Vows, goods and mission: the experience of consecrated poverty and financial management in religious life’, which presented the reality of the province and its presences with the related administrative and financial processes. This was followed by a presentation by the Social Action Coordinator, Jéssica de Jesus Silva, divided into three main themes: social action from Don Bosco’s perspective; the work of the Salesian Social Action Network in Brazil; the reality of social action in the BSP province.
