(ANS – Comayagua) – The Caritas Formation Centre in the city of Comayagua hosted the Meeting of Oratory Leaders in the Salesian Province of Central America (CAM). For several days, participants from six countries that make up CAM Province shared moments of formation, pastoral reflection and fraternal communion, with the aim of strengthening their educational and evangelising service among children, adolescents and young adults. The programme included moments of prayer, Eucharistic celebration and various formation sessions. Among these, the presentation by psychologist Norma Fajardo Matamoros stood out. She addressed the theme of ‘Childhood Wounds,’ offering tools to better understand the personal realities of the young people who attend the oratories. The leaders also participated in interactive workshops and activities aimed at strengthening pastoral accompaniment methodologies in youth groups. The meeting reaffirmed the importance of the Salesian oratory, one of the most significant expressions of St John Bosco’s charism within the Salesian Congregation. In these environments, young people find a welcoming home, a place for sharing and a space where faith, education and joy come together to foster their human and spiritual growth.
