The encounter, held from March 16–20, 2026, gathers participants from across the region in a dynamic formation program that integrates prayer, pastoral reflection, and community dialogue. Designed to strengthen the early years of priestly and religious ministry, the initiative highlights the importance of accompaniment and ongoing formation in sustaining vocation and mission. The meeting is guided and animated by Br. Raymond Callo from the Formation Sector in Rome.

Throughout the week, participants are engaging in sessions focused on the processing of pastoral experiences, personal accompaniment, and the development of a concrete plan of life. These moments of reflection are enabling the young confreres to deepen their understanding of the realities and challenges of contemporary ministry while reaffirming their commitment to Don Bosco’s charism.

A significant highlight of the encounter is the anticipated online address of the Rector Major, the successor of Don Bosco, who is scheduled to speak directly to the quinquennials, offering guidance and encouragement for their missionary journey.

Moments of shared prayer, small-group processing, and cultural exchange are already fostering a strong sense of unity and fraternity among participants. The gathering stands as a clear expression of the Salesian Congregation’s commitment to ongoing formation, recognizing that the first years of ministry are both delicate and decisive in shaping a lifelong dedication to the young.

As the program continues, the encounter in Hua Hin serves as a living testimony of hope: young Salesians, rooted in the spirit of Don Bosco, are being formed not only for service within their local contexts but also for a mission that is increasingly global, interconnected, and attentive to the needs of today’s youth.
