Mexico – MEG Province Social Communication Days 2026

(ANS – Amatitán) – The Social Communication Delegates and their teams from various parts of the Guadalajara Mexico (MEG) Province gathered in Amatitán, Jalisco, for the 2026 Social Communication Days, a space for formation, encounter and fraternity. During the event, participants shared moments of personal reflection, dialogue and mutual enrichment, reinforcing the mission to communicate in the Salesian style for the good of adolescents and young adults. Eric Cristian Quintana González, Executive Secretary of the Digital Dimension of the Episcopal Commission for Pastoral Communication, led discussions on various topics of great relevance to the mission of communication: Reorganisation of the social communication sector; Institutional communication – challenges for accompaniment and evangelisation; Challenges and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence for evangelisation; Digital tools. The days were also marked by moments of faith. Two Eucharistic celebrations took place: one presided over by Fr Kennedy Delgado Sánchez, Director of Vocations, who encouraged participants to live out their mission of communication in the style of Don Bosco; and another presided over by Fr Francisco Cervantes, MEG Provincial, who reminded Salesian communicators of the importance of “building community and conveying peace” in every message they share.
