(ANS – Palermo) – The traditional Vocational Week took place from 9 to 13 March 2026 at the Don Bosco Ranchibile Salesian Institute in Palermo, a well-established event that continues to represent a powerful and significant moment in the community’s educational and pastoral journey. For five days, around 950 pupils from lower and upper secondary school and over 200 young people from the oratory’s formation groups were guided through an intensive programme of reflection, prayer and discussion on the theme of vocation, understood not only as a choice of consecrated life, but as a full and conscious response to God’s call in one’s own existence. The event was led by a qualified and motivated team, coordinated by the middle school animator, Fr Alfredo Calderoni, and comprising the Salesians Fr Emanuele Geraci, Fr Vito Mangano, Fr Simão Congo, Fr Marco Piana, the Daughter of Mary Help of Christians Sr Carmen Rapisarda, and the Sisters of Bell’Amore Sr Silvia Doddis and Sr Diva. The days were structured around a rich and comprehensive educational programme: from the traditional Salesian “good morning” greeting, to formative sessions in individual classes, right through to times dedicated to the oratory groups. The times of prayer, adoration and witness were particularly intense, offering the young people a genuine space for inner listening and dialogue with the Lord.
