(ANS – Caracas) – In an atmosphere of profound joy, last Sunday, 22 March 2026, the parish of Mary Help of Christians in Boleíta was the setting for an important event for the Salesian Family: the promise of four new Salesian Cooperators from the Domingo Savio Centre. Benilde Orta, Gloriannis Alcántara, Marlien Chacón and José Moreno officially took up their commitment as Salesian Cooperators, sealing their desire to live out Don Bosco’s charism in daily life. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Rafael Montenegro, Superior of the Salesian Province of Venezuela (VEN), who, in a moving homily, emphasised the importance of this step for the Church and the Congregation. “Today you are the public response of four believers who say to the Lord: I wish to live out my Christian life, my journey towards holiness, as a Salesian Cooperator,” stated the provincial. The ceremony was attended by family members, friends and members of various groups of the Salesian Family, who accompanied this new apostolic mission with prayer and joy, a mission which strengthens the presence of Don Bosco’s spirit in the country.
