(ANS – Jaboatão dos Guararapes) – On 21 and 22 March 2026, the Salesian Colony in Jaboatão dos Guararapes (PE) was the venue for an important moment of communion, listening and planning for Salesian youth. The venue hosted the Interprovincial Council of the “Nordeste” Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), bringing together young leaders from various works across the region, belonging to the Salesian Province of Recife, Brazil (BRE) and the FMA Province of Mary Help of Christians. During the meeting, participants took part in a programme characterised by moments of spirituality, sharing, planning and dialogue, strengthening the identity of the SYM and the commitment of young people to the Salesian mission in the “Nordeste”. The council became a true meeting place, where ideas, dreams and experiences were shared among young people living out Don Bosco’s charism in different contexts. The meeting was also attended by Fr Francisco Inácio, BRE Provincial, and Sr Maria Américo, FMA Provincial, who accompanied the proceedings and reiterated the importance of young people’s active participation in the Salesian mission.
