(ANS – Goma) – On Saturday 28 March 2026, the Salesian Don Bosco Ngangi centre welcomed Fr Guillermo Basañes, Provincial of the Central Africa (AFC) Province, for his canonical visitation. The welcome took place in an atmosphere of joy and fraternity, true to the spirit of Don Bosco. The young people from the oratories, the children from Casa Ushindi, the girls from Casa Anuarite and the FMA from the Ngangi centre gathered to express their enthusiasm and affection for Fr Basañes. During his stay, the Provincial will meet personally with every Salesian and will also hold several meetings with those responsible for the various sectors of the mission. Among these is a meeting with all the staff of the institute, scheduled for Tuesday 31 March 2026, which will provide an opportunity to discuss the running of the institute and the educational mission of Don Bosco Ngangi. The warm welcome extended to Fr Guillermo Basañes bears witness to the deep commitment of the entire educational community to the Salesian spirituality and the social and educational values of Don Bosco Ngangi.
