Portugal – Missão Dom Bosco launches solidarity campaign: “From recycling to mission: small gestures, great missions”
(ANS – Lisbon) – The Missão Dom Bosco Mission Office has launched a solidarity campaign entitled “From recycling to mission: small gestures, great missions”, which aims to provide practical support to various projects. In collaboration with the Toneladas de Ajuda initiative, this campaign aims to promote the recycling of paper and cardboard and raise awareness among educative and pastoral communities about adopting more sustainable practices. It is aimed particularly at children, young people, families and educators, inviting them to take part in a meaningful initiative where small gestures have a real impact on the lives of those most in need. During the school year, Year 9 pupils at the Salesian school in Lisbon will play an active role in raising awareness and mobilising the school community, and significant collections of paper and cardboard are already planned. To mark the launch of this new campaign, the Salesians in Lisbon have already delivered 740 kg of paper and cardboard to the Ecocentro Lumiar.
