(ANS – Dimapur) – Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE), Dimapur, hosted a two‑day national conference titled “Towards 2047: Making India a Global Power Through Philosophical Engagement,” sponsored by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR). Organized by the Department of Philosophy and IQAC, the event gathered scholars from across India to explore the role of philosophy in national development. Prof. Dr. Dipak Sinha, Pro‑Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, delivered the keynote address. Presentations addressed ethics, indigenous knowledge, sustainability, artificial intelligence, religious pluralism, and media responsibility. The conference concluded with a valedictory session, cultural presentations, and certificate distribution, highlighting philosophy’s contribution to India’s aspirations for 2047.
