(ANS) – Over 2,000 young people will take part in the Salesian Youth Easter in various Salesian centres across Peru: Rímac, Bosconia, Piura, Magdalena del Mar, Breña, San Lorenzo, Ayacucho, Huancayo, Cusco, Chosica and Arequipa. What once brought together only a few groups has now become a meaningful experience attracting a growing number of young people eager to experience Holy Week in a different way. “Many young people wish to take part, share their faith and discover that Jesus is still present in their daily lives,” said Fr Miguel Seminario, Pastoral Coordinator of the Salesian Community in Arequipa. We are growing! In Salesian houses across Peru, Youth Easter continues to grow year on year, becoming an experience that leaves an indelible mark on many young people. In various cities across the country, from the coast to the highlands and the jungle, communities begin preparing well in advance. Weeks beforehand, young leaders, catechists and youth leaders meet to plan every detail. Through meetings, brainstorming sessions and rehearsals, they work together to create the youth Easter celebration. Over time, this experience has become increasingly well-organised.
