(ANS – Ambato) – The Cardinal Spellman Salesian Educational Unit celebrated the Missionary Sending Mass, a significant moment marking the start of the pastoral work of students and teachers in various communities in Flavio Alfaro, in the province of Manabí. The celebration was presided over by Fr Marco Díaz, SDB, and attended by the missionaries, their families and members of the school community. During his homily, Fr Díaz encouraged the young people to share the Word of God with enthusiasm, reminding them of the importance of being living witnesses of joy, service and commitment in the places where they will carry out their mission. This sending forth represents an experience of spiritual and human growth for the participants, who embrace the challenge of sharing and living out their faith within the community.
