(ANS – Panama City) – The community of the Don Bosco Basilica celebrated the Easter Triduum with deep faith, from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th April 2026, under the theme “To the very end of love”, experiencing the central days of the Christian faith in an atmosphere of reflection, prayer and hope. The celebration began on Holy Thursday with the commemoration of the Lord’s Last Supper, during which the traditional washing of the feet took place, a symbol of Christian service. Fr Carlos Vilanova, SDB, parish priest of the Basilica, emphasised in his homily that this gesture is not merely symbolic, but a concrete call to live as servants of God. On Good Friday, the day began with the Way of the Cross, led by Fr Manuel Gómez, SDB, on the theme “With Christ on the Cross, disciples who listen and believers who serve”, inviting the faithful to embrace the cross as a way of life. In the afternoon, the community took part in the Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, presided over by Fr Vilanova. On Holy Saturday, the community gathered for the Solemn Easter Vigil, with the lighting of the Paschal Candle, symbol of Christ, the light of the world, and the Liturgy of the Word culminating in the joyful singing of the Gloria and the Alleluia. Finally, on Easter Sunday, the faithful took part in various celebrations, joyfully celebrating the Resurrection of the Lord.
