(ANS – Kortrijk) – In recent days, as part of a Dutch language course, a group of students from Don Bosco Kortrijk had the opportunity to work with their favourite apps and put their newly acquired knowledge into practice. In this way, they not only immersed themselves in the digital world but also learnt to communicate their ideas clearly. The most innovative aspect of the course, however, was the inter-generational exchange with a number of older people, who took part in this “digital week” alongside the young people. The students invited their grandparents and guided them step by step through the world of the web and social media. The young people taught the older adults how some of the social media platforms most used by the younger generation work, writing text messages together and posting stories. It was therefore a successful activity in which learning, connection and digital skills went hand in hand.
