(ANS – Olbia) – The second meeting of practical trainees from the Central Salesian District of Italy (ICC) took place in Olbia from 29 March to 1 April. The young Salesians, coming from the various houses where they are engaged in their service, began Holy Week together, welcomed by the rector, Fr Francesco Valente, and the local community, who shared with them the journey and the dreams that guide their experience. These were days of deep fraternity, characterised by the opportunity to share each person’s personal experiences. Fr Roberto Colameo, ICC Superior, also took part in the meeting whilst visiting the Olbia community, reinforcing the sense of belonging to the province. Under the guidance of Fr Daniele Merlini, ICC Vice-Povincial the practical trainees devoted specific time to studying the recently updated Ratio, focusing on aspects related to their current stage of formation. A key moment of the experience was the encounter with the local Church. The young Salesians had the opportunity to speak with Bishop Roberto Fornaciari of the Diocese of Tempio-Ampurias and to engage with the community of Consolata missionaries, broadening their perspective on the ecclesial and missionary dimensions of their service.
