Brazil – Special Easter celebrations in the Province of São Paulo highlight the centrality of faith in the Resurrection of Christ

(ANS – São Paulo) – Between 7 and 10 April 2026, the Salesians of the São Paulo  Brazil Province (BSP) held special Easter celebrations in various regions, marking significant moments of faith, spirituality and communion. The celebrations took place on 7 April in São Carlos (Paulista Region); on 8 April in São José dos Campos (Paraíba Valley Region); and on 10 April in Campos Elíseos, in the city of São Paulo (Capital Region). In each of these locations, the Salesians were invited to renew, in a profound way, the Easter significance of their consecration and mission. Experienced within the context of the joy of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, the celebrations expressed the richness of community life at a time of spiritual renewal, strengthening the Salesians’ charismatic identity and pastoral commitment. The religious men and women are called to rekindle hope, fraternity and dedication to the mission amongst young people, especially those most in need, in the light of the Risen Christ. In communion with the Church and in fidelity to the Salesian charism, the Salesians entrust the journey of the mission to the intercession of St John Bosco and Mother Mazzarello, asking for the grace of perseverance and constant renewal in following Christ, the source of new life and hope for all.
