(ANS) – The “Progetto Salesiano Costa Nord” Foundation experienced one of its most significant missionary journeys during the recent Mission Day, thanks to the presence of 19 young missionaries from the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) in Guayaquil. They arrived at the Salesian centres with enthusiasm, joy and a deep sense of commitment to sharing their faith and their vocation to service with children, adolescents and young adults. The young missionaries were divided into two groups: 14 in Esmeraldas and 5 in San Lorenzo, where they closely supported each of the activities held during Holy Week. Their presence was fundamental to the development of the Easter programmes for children and young people, providing formation spaces and spiritual spaces in which values such as love, service, faith and hope were promoted. During these days, the young missionaries actively took part in workshops, group activities, moments of reflection, spiritual guidance and recreational activities, conveying through their example the message of Jesus: a message of love, self-giving and salvation. Every shared smile, every word of encouragement and every act of solidarity became seeds of hope sown in the hearts of the participants.
