(ANS – Madrid) – The Salesians of Paseo school celebrated its centenary over the weekend of 17–19 April 2026 with a packed programme of activities that brought together students, families, former pupils and teachers around a single sentiment: pride in belonging and a commitment to the future. The celebrations began on Friday 17th with a grand school party where all the pupils were symbolically transported back to the 1920s, the decade in which the school was founded. The school grounds were filled with period costumes, games and workshops, culminating in an aerial photograph taken that morning. Saturday was dedicated to sport, socialising and reminiscing; a documentary on the school’s hundred years of educational presence on Paseo de Extremadura was screened. The evening continued with a performance by the Amorevo theatre group and musical performances by various groups linked to the school. Sunday began with a Mass presided over by Fr José Carlos Sobejano, a former pupil of the school, in a deeply meaningful ceremony. More than 500 people took part in a community lunch that began a festive afternoon of games, and the grand finale featured a performance of the musical Matilda Jr., staged by the Amorevo children’s group.
