(ANS – Cartago) – On 18 April 2026, the Salesian Cooperators (ASC) of Costa Rica held their National Formation Meeting on “Being Leaven to Be Fruitful: From Mission to Action”. The day began with a virtual presentation by the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard, who had accompanied the first Regional Formation Meeting with an inspiring and profound message. The programme then continued with an in-depth exploration of some of the themes addressed during the Regional Meeting held in the Dominican Republic, thereby strengthening the Association’s formation journey. With formation sessions, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and moments of celebration, the day was rich in spirituality, communion and Salesian joy. The meeting also marked the start of celebrations in Costa Rica for the 150th anniversary of the Association, renewing their commitment to the mission. Twenty-seven ASCs and twenty-one aspirants from various centres across the country took part. The event took place at the Santo Domingo Savio Salesian Centre and was coordinated by Isaac González, national councillor for ASC formation.
