(ANS – Juazeiro do Norte) – A Communication Seminar for Salesian prenovices began on Tuesday afternoon, 21 April 2026, in Juazeiro do Norte. On the first day, participants took part in a news production workshop led by journalist Luciana Falcão, press officer for the Archdiocese of Olinda and Recife. The session was also open to members of the Pastoral Communication Service (PASCOM) and volunteers from Radio FM Padre Cícero. During the session, participants reflected on the importance of communication in a religious context and practised writing journalistic pieces. The initiative aims to equip them with the tools to help disseminate clear and objective information in their pastoral work. “The congregation places great emphasis on formation, so that new Salesians may grow in this commitment to communication. We want them to know how to communicate well, use the media appropriately and also be good listeners, making the media a space for growth and evangelisation,” emphasised the Salesian delegate for communication, Fr João Carlos Ribeiro, SDB. The seminar continues until Thursday 23 April at the São João Bosco Salesian College.
