(ANS – Goma) – On Sunday 26 April 2026, the Mwanga Institute in Goma hosted a “Day of Friendship” organised by the Missionary Circle group of the St Joseph Delegation in the East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The event brought together 78 young people from various Salesian and Catholic schools, focusing on the theme “Friendship and missionary dynamism in a brutal world”, and consisted of a keynote address, small-group reflections and future planning activities. The day, led by Salesian practical trainees Pascal Bonjo and Christian Iriba, conveyed a central message of unity in diversity: the young people realised that, despite their differences, they are called to form a true circle of friendship, capable of bringing the mission to life.
