(ANS – Maynooth) – Last week, the youth ministry and mission sectors of the Salesian Province of Ireland (IRL) organised a formation programme for four Irish volunteers setting off abroad, where they will provide support to other local Salesian communities in India and Africa, as well as for another 20 volunteers and youth leaders who will be helping to organise three summer camps for young people this summer, organised by the IRL province. The formation forms part of the IRL Province’s ongoing formation programmes aimed at youth leaders and members of the Salesian Family. Another session for junior leaders is planned for the coming weeks, with the support of senior leaders and parents. Two of the summer camps will take place in the Archdiocese of Dublin and the third in the Diocese of Limerick.
