(ANS – Hong Kong) – On 2 May 2026, the Salesian House of Studies in Hong Kong hosted this academic year’s Salesian Vocation Day, organised by the Vocations Office of the Salesian CIN Province. The event was held with the aim of encouraging young people to reflect on their own vocation and to join Salesian members in giving thanks for the gift of vocation. Through games and activities, participants experienced the difficulties and challenges that missionaries face when adapting to different cultures and worked to overcome these obstacles. This year saw record attendance, with over 120 young people from nine Salesian schools in Hong Kong and Macao, alongside more than a dozen Salesians who accompany the young people. Following the themed activities, this year’s “Salesian Pastoral Video” was screened on the theme “One more missionary in the family”, featuring Fr Lanfranco Fedrigotti, SDB, who shared his vocational story and his experiences as a missionary. The highlight of the Day was the Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Fr Domingos Leong, CIN Provincial. During his homily, he reminded the students that on the journey of vocational discernment, one needs the accompaniment and guidance of others to better discern God’s call.
