(ANS – Panama City) – In an atmosphere of deep gratitude and Salesian spirit, a solemn commemorative Mass was celebrated for the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Salesian Cooperators (SSCC), as well as for the 50th anniversary of the Don Bosco Basilica Centre. A significant date for the whole Salesian Family and for those who, through their lay vocation, continue to carry forward the dream of Don Bosco in the world. The celebration was presided over by Fr Carlos Vilanova, SDB, parish priest of the Don Bosco Basilica, who, during his homily, expressed deep gratitude for the dedication and service that the SSCC offer to young people, especially those most in need. One of the most moving moments of the celebration was the renewal of the promises by the Salesian Cooperators, a tangible sign of their commitment to continue serving God, the Church and young people in the Salesian spirit.
