(ANS – Guadalajara) – During the closing ceremony of the Salesian Alumni Leadership School (LEXAS, in Spanish), a training programme that brought together Salesian alumni from the Mexico-Guadalajara Province (MEG), the presidency of the Federation of Don Bosco Alumni of Northern Mexico was elected. René Gallardo, an engineer by profession and a father, was elected as the new president for the 2026–2029 term. In addition to the President, three members of the Council were elected: Janitizio González as Vice-President; Eduardo Ramírez as Secretary; and Patricia Valdés as Treasurer and Representative of the Young Alumni. The handover of the presidency took place during the closing Mass of LEXAS, where Paulina Vera officially concluded her term (2021–2026), a period that focused on revitalising, strengthening and consolidating the presence of the group of alumni of the MEG Province. During her term, training and networking projects for Salesian alumni were promoted, in particular the consolidation of LEXAS and the launch of the MEG Alumni Business Network (AEXAS).
