Philippines – Teachers at “Don Bosco Technical College” in Cebu begin summer training and induction for the 2026–2027 academic year
(ANS – Cebu) – As the school community prepares for another year of transformative education, the Department of Basic Education at “Don Bosco Technical College” in Cebu has officially launched its Summer Training and Induction Programme for the 2026-2027 academic year. The first part of the programme focused on strengthening academic preparation in anticipation of the school’s transition to a trimester system. From 4 to 5 May, Dr Miguel Rapatan led sessions on curriculum mapping and blended learning, guiding teachers through the process of analysing competencies and aligning them with the Ministry of Education’s Work Plan. Teachers took part in collaborative discussions and workshops aimed at ensuring that curriculum delivery remains responsive, organised and student-centred. The training also highlighted the importance of integrating innovative and flexible learning approaches that can best support students in the coming academic year. The induction programme forms part of the school’s ongoing commitment to professional development, educational excellence and the Salesian mission to educate young people holistically through meaningful, future-oriented education.
