DR Congo – Conclusion of the activities of the Mission Group of the St Joseph Delegation (AFC/EST) in Boscolac
(ANS – Goma) – On 17 May 2026, the Sunday of the Ascension of the Lord, more than 100 young people from the Mission Group of the St Joseph Delegation (AFC_EST) experienced a significant day: the conclusion of their annual activities. The young people, coming from the five Salesian houses in Goma and other affiliated Catholic schools in the area, turned this liturgical date into a moment of fervour, communion and reflection. Each group, in turn, presented the activities carried out during the 2025–2026 academic and pastoral year, before moving on to the evaluation. This moment provided an opportunity to highlight the results achieved, to gauge the impact of the actions undertaken and to encourage the continuation of these efforts for the future. Subsequently, a Mass was celebrated, presided over by Fr Lévi Shimira, SDB, followed by a profound moment of spiritual encounter that strengthened the young people’s faith and solidarity. The day also featured recreational and educational activities, an excursion into the natural surroundings of Boscolac, and a time for sharing. The event concluded with a message from Fr Martin Mwamb and Fr Christian Iriba, leaders of the delegation’s mission group.
