(ANS – Santo Domingo) – The National Council and the Local Centre of San José of the Salesian Cooperators joyfully celebrated the Promise of five new members on Sunday 17 May 2026, in a ceremony that strengthens the Salesian mission in the country and renews the lay commitment to educational and pastoral service. The Mass was presided over by Fr Pastor Ramírez, SDB, Superior of the Salesians of the Antilles Province (ANT), who during his homily emphasised that this missionary mandate remains relevant today and is manifested in a particular way in the vocation of the Salesian Cooperators, called to be “signs of hope and the active presence of Christ in the midst of society”.
