(ANS – Colonia Vignaud) – The Salesian House in Colonia Vignaud renewed its deep devotion to Mary Help of Christians with a massive pilgrimage that brought together thousands of the faithful to celebrate faith, mission and hope centred on the Patroness of Argentine Agriculture. Under the motto “Do whatever Jesus tells you”, over 60,000 pilgrims gathered on Sunday 17 May 2026 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Colonia Vignaud, Córdoba, in one of the most significant expressions of faith in the Salesian Province of Argentina North (ARN). Various celebrations took place over two days, particularly on Sunday, when activities began at 5.30 am with Mass, which welcomed the arrival of thousands of faithful who had come on pilgrimage to meet Mary Help of Christians. Furthermore, 102 groups of gauchos took part, lending a profound sense of tradition, faith and belonging to this historic celebration of the Salesian Family in Vignaud. The main Eucharist was presided over by the Bishop of San Francisco, Bishop Sergio Buenanueva, together with the ARN Provincial, Fr Julio Boffelli, SDB, and the priests Daniel Maini, Gabriel Ghione and Esteban Poccioni. After Mass, the traditional procession of Mary Help of Christians took place, bringing to a close a day marked by prayer, thanksgiving and community gathering.
