(ANS – Knock) – Students from the Salesian College in Pallaskenry joined over 2,500 secondary school students from across the country for a day of interaction and reflection at the Shrine of Our Lady of Knock. The event was held in memory of Donal Walsh, the teenager from Kerry who passed away 13 years ago after a courageous battle with cancer. His message to “live life to the full” continues to have an impact on young people today. The programme included inspirational talks, time to explore the shrine and museum, moments of reflection and prayer, and the celebration of the Eucharist with Bishop Brendan Leahy. The students participated actively throughout the day and embraced the experience with enthusiasm.
