(ANS – Fatumaca) – On 23 May 2026, the Salesian community in Fatumaca, together with members of the Salesian Family in Timor-Leste, celebrated the Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians with a festive Mass presided over by Cardinal Virgílio do Carmo da Silva, SDB. The celebration began with a Marian procession from the grotto to the Shrine, led by the Cardinal and accompanied by the faithful carrying flowers. Among those present were Fr Anacleto Pires, SDB, Provincial of TLS, priests, religious, local authorities, students, and many faithful, reflecting the country’s strong Marian devotion. The solemnity also marked the 150th anniversary of the first Salesian missionary expedition and the foundation of the Salesian Cooperators.
