(ANS – Seville) – The first online meeting of the Valdocco Communities of Salesian Spain’s Mary Help of Christians Province (SMX) took place on 23 May 2026. The initiative brought together participants from various Salesian communities with the aim of further strengthening this community life project. After a time of welcome and prayer, which helped to create an atmosphere of fraternity and fellowship among all participants, María and Cristina, members of a Valdocco Community in Estrecho, Madrid, shared their experience and offered valuable insights into how these communities operate. Through their testimony, they highlighted some fundamental aspects of community life, such as the importance of mutual support, living the faith together, commitment to the Salesian mission, and the challenges of keeping a shared project alive. Following this presentation, the participants split into small groups to discuss and share their impressions, concerns and experiences. This session fostered a fruitful exchange among people from diverse backgrounds, promoting mutual understanding and collective growth. Next Valdocco Community Meeting The meeting concluded with the announcement of a major event for next year: an in-person gathering bringing together the Valdocco Communities of the two Salesian provinces in Spain on 7 and 8 November 2027 in Mohernando (Guadalajara).
