Papua New Guinea – The First National ADMA Congress in Papua New Guinea
(ANS – Port Moresby) – The Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, hosted the country’s First National ADMA Congress on 28 and 29 May 2026. The Congress, held under the theme: “Wokabaut wantaim Mama Maria (Journey with Our Lady): Do whatever He tells you”, provided an opportunity to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Association’s foundation, which began in Gabutu under Fr Alfred Maravilla. During the event, several distinguished speakers took the floor, highlighting the value of ADMA and the importance of the collective spiritual heritage. Also present for the occasion was Fr Gregorio Bicomong, Superior of the Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands (PGS) Prefecture, who presided over the Eucharist and gave a talk on the 2026 Strenna. This event will go down in the history of ADMA in Papua New Guinea, and it is hoped that the outcomes of this Congress will be visibly reflected in the daily lives of those who were fortunate enough to take part.
