(ANS – Nairobi) – From 26 to 30 May 2026, in Nairobi, ten Salesian confreres from the East Africa Province who had completed their studies in Philosophy took part in an orientation programme to prepare for their practical internship in Salesian communities. During the week, they explored various topics, such as youth and children’s ministry, managing change and integration into new communities, community and spiritual life, Salesian identity and formation according to the Ratio, and communication and journalism skills. At the end of the programme, the Provincial of the Salesian Province of East Africa (AFE), Fr George Tharaniyil, officially entrusted the ten young Salesians with their service in their assigned communities, encouraging them to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to the education and accompaniment of young people.
