Madagascar – National Youth Ministry Meeting
(ANS – Antananarivo) – As is customary, to mark the end of the pastoral year those responsible for youth ministry in Madagascar gathered at the Provincial House in Ivato, Antananarivo, to take stock of pastoral life. The meeting, held at the end of May, brought together the Salesians of Don Bosco, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and the young lay coordinators of Madagascar. This year, the main objective of the meeting was to evaluate the Salesian Youth Movement, following years of its formation and revitalisation. However, this meeting was not limited to discussions. It also provided formation on children’s rights and the vulnerability of women, issues of crucial importance in today’s society. Indeed, Youth Ministry in Madagascar ranks among the Church’s principal works. It aims to support and strengthen initiatives that contribute to the integral development of young people, both on a social and human level and on a spiritual one. In conclusion, this meeting was a significant moment of sharing and solidarity, which strengthened the bonds between the various communities and reminded everyone of the importance of their commitment to serving young people and the most vulnerable.
