Democratic Republic of the Congo – Day of Spirituality for the Salesian Family
(ANS – Kinshasa) – From 29 to 31 May, members of the Salesian Family in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, gathered at the postnovitiate of St Thomas Aquinas to reflect on the theme of the Rector Major’s Strenna for 2026. Fr Sylvain Woto, Vice-Provincial of ACC, presided over the opening Mass, whilst on the second day the chair was taken by Fr Justin Kumbu, Delegate of the Salesian Family. The participants listened to talks on the centenary of the presence of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Kinshasa and on the 150th anniversary of the Salesian Cooperators. On the final day, Sunday 31 May, the 40 members hosted at St Thomas Aquinas joined the parish community of Mary Help of Christians for a pilgrimage, during which the Rosary was recited before the solemn Mass presided over by Fr Sylvain Woto. During this Eucharistic celebration, moreover, the members of ADMA renewed their promise.
