Spain – Over 700 athletes take centre stage at an unforgettable 23rd edition of the Inter-Salesian Games
(ANS – Valencia) – The 23rd edition of the Inter-Salesian Games, held on 11 June, demonstrated once again that sport is much more than just a competition. Over 700 athletes from various Salesian houses spent a day together in Valencia in the spirit of solidarity, fraternity and the values that characterise the Salesian Family. The whole day was filled with activities, enthusiasm and team spirit, in an atmosphere where respect, commitment, friendship and fair play were evident in every match. Beyond the sporting results, the Games proved once again to be a special opportunity to strengthen the bonds between the houses and to continue building community through sport. “The organisers wish to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this event, as well as the athletes for their exemplary behaviour both on and off the playing fields,” they stated at the end of the event. The Inter-Salesian Games demonstrate that sport, lived out according to the values of Don Bosco, continues to be an extraordinary tool for training, fellowship and personal growth.
