England – A student from St John Bosco Arts College signs for Chelsea FC after shining with the Under-17 national team
(ANS – Liverpool) – Chelsea N’Drin, a Year 11 student at St John Bosco Arts College in Croxteth, has signed an exciting deal with the women’s academy of Chelsea FC, after making a name for herself with the England women’s national team at the recent Under-17 European Championships. The young student from the Salesian school has signed a two-year contract with one of the most successful clubs in English women’s football and will join the Under-18 youth team. Having come from Liverpool FC Women, where she progressed through the academy system for five years, recently winning the Junior Premier League tournament, Chelsea will now continue to hone her skills as a forward at one of the country’s top women’s football academies. Darren Gidman, Headteacher of St John Bosco Arts College, expressed his delight at the student’s achievement and said: “Chelsea is a wonderful example of our school community’s commitment to nurturing everyone’s gifts, dreams and talents, and we look forward to seeing her continue to thrive on the football pitch as she embarks on this exciting next chapter.”
