(ANS – Kinshasa) – The second rectors meeting in the Mary Help of Christians Vice-Province of Africa Congo Congo (ACC) was held in Kinshasa from 11 to 12 June 2026,, at the premises of the St Thomas Aquinas Postnovitiate and the Provincial House. The two days were intense and featured talks, discussions and a spirit of fraternity amongst the leaders of 14 communities, provincial councillors and the heads of provincial services. On the first day, following the Eucharist presided over by the Superior of the ACC Vice-Province, Fr Aurélien Mukangwa, an opening talk given by Apollinaire Mukinayi brought the participants together on the theme: “Formation in fraternal communion within our communities”. This was followed by group work and discussions in the hall. In the afternoon, the Superior’s latest circular letter on the role of the Director was the subject of discussion amongst the participants. The second day provided an opportunity for Fr Kevin Vomi, Economer of the ACC, to present the financial situation of the Vice-Province. Each Rector then spoke to provide an update on the situation in their community. This final session concluded solemnly on Saturday 13 June, at the parish of St Achille Kiwanuka in Kingabwa, with a Eucharistic celebration and a tribute to Fr Mukangwa for his work.
