(ANS) – Last week, Fr Roman Jachimowicz, SDB, Councillor for the Central and North Europe Region, paid a visit to the Salesian Province of St John Berchmans in Belgium Noth and the Netherlands (BEN). As explained by the BEN Provincial, Fr Bart Decancq, it is standard practice every six years for a representative of the General Council, on behalf of the Rector Major, to carry out a visitation to gain an in-depth understanding of the needs of a specific province. Thus, in recent days, Fr Jachimowicz met with those responsible for youth ministry, education, media, “VIA Don Bosco”, the “Bartimeüs” project, schools and “Don Bosco Werken Nederland”. He also met with the Provincial Council and the Rectors of the various communities. Earlier this week, it was announced that Fr Jachimowicz will return to the BEN Province in September 2026 – from the 7th to the 30th – to visit the communities and hold individual meetings with all the Salesians in the Province.
