(ANS – Ląd) – On 14 June, the parish and oratory of Ląd, in the presence of Fr Jarosław Pizoń, the new Superior of the PLN province, and Archbishop Wojciech Polak, Primate of the Church in Poland, expressed their gratitude for the beatification of Fr Franciszek Miśka. The homily was delivered by Fr Mariusz Chamarczuk, SDB, the Rector, who recounted the stories of the newly beatified. The Mass was accompanied by the parish choir Bosko, the children’s and youth choirs, and Fr Wiktor Ławnicki on the organ. At the end of Mass, the Provincial then awarded Mrs Dorota Górniak, SSW, the Salesian Merentibus Medal for her long-standing commitment to the Salesian Province of Piła and for her work in Ląd. Archbishop Wojciech Polak then entrusted the Salesian Family, the parish and the entire diocese to the new Blessed. Following the Eucharist, the young Oratory members also held a talk in honour of Fr Miśka. After this moment of spiritual reflection, the activities moved to the refectory, where those present shared a fraternal meal and took part in raffles, games and joyful musical performances.
