San Pedro Carchá, Guatemala – January 2026 – The Salesian parish of San Pedro Carchá celebrated the closing of the Jubilee of Hope with a pastoral event that brought together more than 10,000 faithful from the six pastoral areas and the urban area of the municipality, in an atmosphere of faith, joy, and ecclesial communion. The event began with a jubilee walk from the parish to the Don Bosco Centre, as a visible sign of pilgrimage and unity. Parish communities, pastoral groups, and families walked together, expressing their commitment to continue building the Church through shared faith. The day ended with the celebration of the Eucharist at the Don Bosco Centre, presided over by Bishop Rodolfo Valenzuela Núñez of the Diocese of Verapaz, in communion with the Salesian community. The Eucharist marked the official closing of the Jubilee Year, experienced as a time of grace and spiritual renewal, and invited the faithful to continue to bring the values of the Jubilee into their daily lives as a permanent sign of hope.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
