Miyazaki, Japan – January 2026 – From 27 to 30 December 2025, young Salesians from the Japan and Korea Provinces gathered in Miyazaki for a joint exchange programme focused on strengthening vocational commitment and mutual understanding. The programme brought together eight participants from Korea, accompanied by Fr. Felix, novice master, and six from Japan, accompanied by Fr. Nakada SDB, Vice Provincial of Japan. Based in Kyushu, activities included visits to key sites linked to the early Salesian mission in Japan under Venerable Vincenzo Cimatti. The exchange opened with the Eucharist at Hyuga Gakuin, presided over by Fr. Takei SDB, with a homily by Fr. Francis Atsushi Hamasaki SDB, Provincial of Japan. Guided by Sr. Madea of the Caritas Sisters of Jesus, and enriched by a formative talk by Fr. Michael Lap SDB on Venerable Cimatti, the programme concluded with a closing Mass at the Nakatsu Orphanage and a sharing session marked by gratitude, fraternity, and renewed missionary zeal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
