Goma, DR Congo \u2013 January 2026 \u2013 The Salesian community of Bosconia\/ITIG hosted the third edition of the Salesian Pastoral School of the St Joseph Delegation of East Central Africa (AFC-EST).\u00a0This formation session brought together about seventy young leaders from Salesian Youth Ministry accompanied by several Salesians of Don Bosco from the various works of the St Joseph Delegation. The activities began with the presentation and in-depth study of the theme of the Rector Major’s Strenna 2026, \u2018Do whatever he tells you \u2013 believers, free to serve\u2019. Subsequently, Fr Gauthier Tshibangu, Provincial Delegate of AFC-EAST, celebrated the Eucharist. For three days, the Pastoral School was structured around three essential pillars: prayer, formation and fraternal encounter. Five conferences characterised this edition on synodality, mental health, education and evangelisation according to Don Bosco’s preventive system, and the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Finally, Fr St\u00e9phane Kayembe concluded with a reflection on leadership, presented as service to the common good. The session ended with a Mass during which Fr Dieudonn\u00e9 Sande, Head of Salesian Youth Ministry for the Delegation of St Joseph, encouraged participants to put the teachings they had received into practice and to share them in their respective communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
