(ANS – Cordoba) –<\/strong> The 12th Provincial Feast day of Spain’s Mary Help of Christians Province (SMX) took place in the Salesian presence in Cordoba, bringing together around a hundred participants around the figure of the Provincial and celebrating a family gathering between communities. At the opening of the event, Fr José Luis Navarro, Provincial Vice-Provincial, emphasised that this event is ‘a sign of fraternal communion and an expression of gratitude.’ ‘In a world that often makes us walk fast, this celebration wants us to stop for a moment and, with the simplicity that characterises us, have an experience of unity, a moment in which to renew the bonds that unite us in a single charism, a single mission, a single province. Our celebration seeks to be a sign of fraternal communion,’ he explained as the meaning of this annual meeting. This was followed by the words of Fernando Báñez, Rector of the host Salesian house, who welcomed the participants on a day commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Salesian presence in the city, which has been forged in many different places and, above all, in many concrete lives such as those of the confreres celebrating their anniversary of Salesian or priestly life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
