The programme began in the morning with the Eucharistic Celebration and Lauds, which marked the meeting spiritually and reaffirmed the centrality of community life and mission in the guidance of Salesian presences. The first formation session was led by Fr Paulo Manoel de Souza, Rector of Lapa, who addressed the theme &lsquo;The superior of the religious community, according to canon law&rsquo;, offering theoretical foundations and practical guidelines for the exercise of the ministry. This was followed by a meeting with the Provincial, Fr Alexandre Lu&iacute;s de Oliveira, together with the Vice-Provincial, Fr Mauricio Tadeu Miranda, the Provincial Economer, Fr Andr&eacute; Luiz Sim&otilde;es, and members of the pastoral team, as well as some collaborators.
