(ANS – São Paulo) –<\/strong> The first Meeting for new Rectors in the Province of São Paulo Brazil (BSP) was held at the Provincial Centre in Campos Elíseos on 23 February 2026, bringing together Salesians who have taken on this minitry for the first time in the last six years. The programme began in the morning with the Eucharistic Celebration and Lauds, which marked the meeting spiritually and reaffirmed the centrality of community life and mission in the guidance of Salesian presences. The first formation session was led by Fr Paulo Manoel de Souza, Rector of Lapa, who addressed the theme ‘The superior of the religious community, according to canon law’, offering theoretical foundations and practical guidelines for the exercise of the ministry. This was followed by a meeting with the Provincial, Fr Alexandre Luís de Oliveira, together with the Vice-Provincial, Fr Mauricio Tadeu Miranda, the Provincial Economer, Fr André Luiz Simões, and members of the pastoral team, as well as some collaborators. During the visit, the rectors shared the information necessary for the exercise of the ministry, as well as presenting situations and contexts of the local communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
