{"id":1031446,"date":"2026-02-24T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"trans-27165-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infoans.news\/en\/trans-27165-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenya \u2013 Here we are: young Salesian missionaries sent to Africa meet in Nairobi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>(ANS &#8211; Nairobi)<\/strong> &#8211; The five-year missionary meeting for Africa has begun in Nairobi<em>.<\/em> After the meeting in Cambodia, it is now the turn of Nairobi, Kenya, which since last Sunday, 22 February 2026, has been welcoming Salesians sent in the last five years as missionaries <em>ad gentes<\/em> to the two regions of Central-West and South-East Africa, to begin a week of prayer, reflection and fraternal communion. Gathered at the Provincial House in Upper Hill, the twenty young missionaries, together with members of the Mission Sector and a few speakers invited for the occasion, began the gathering with the recitation of Vespers. Fr TJ George, SDB, Superior of the East Africa Province (AFE), gave the goodnight, welcoming the participants and explaining the context of Salesian works and missions in the region.
